In 2023, the Puppet Theatre of Niš celebrated 65 years of professional creative work and published a Yearbook covering the time period from September 2018 to June 2023. In charge of the fifth issue was Slobodan Krstić, a journalist, publicist and theatre expert who has also edited four previous editions of the Yearbook, as well as the three-volume-book The Magicians from Niš, published in 2000, 2008 and 2018. This Yearbook, according to its author, is conceptually and content-wise significantly different from the previous volumes. It is adapted to the writing style of the history of the Theatre. Listed are all the play premieres and re-runs and prominent space is given to performances at numerous festivals that brought in valuable awards. Also listed are laureates of all the Theatre's annual awards, former colleagues who passed away, specifics of working during the COVID-19 pandemic and all the implemented projects. The author points out that "The Yearbook should be read thoroughly and kept at hand, which is especially true for researchers of the history of puppetry in Niš and Serbia."
