How much empathy do we have for each other? What happens when we neglect it? This is the story of Ogi, a peculiar fifth grader who faces judgment from his environment. Depicting two parallel worlds - one filled with parental love and the other filled with a cruelty Ogi could never have imagined - this play tends to showcase just how much strength is needed for children to survive outside of the usual social framework. Having found within himself a desire for knowledge and making friends, Ogi constantly struggles with cruelty, pain and betrayal - always supported by family care and love. He proves to his friends that everyone is different, but that only by accepting these differences can we truly become friends. Employing humor, kindness and love Ogi manages to reveal his true self and cast away the feeling of shame he harbored for years, proving why he is the eponymous MIRACLE.
