AN ENTIRE UNIVERSE MADE FROM CARDBOARD

This workshop, in a way, is an introduction to the world of theatre - the sort of theatre that emphasizes performers and spectators caring less about the stage; the sort of theatre fitting the description of a "Takeaway Theatre". The workshop will showcase several such types - from the cartoon-drawn theatre to Japanese kamishibai and a theatre set-up utilizing 3D stage designs. For each type, high-quality scripts/synopses will be provided.

In the second part of the workshop, participants will create their own miniature 3D stage designs. The third part will be a short performance of choice, utilizing paper stage designs and participants themselves.

Therefore, the focus of the workshop will revolve around paper and cardboard as basic materials for creating a theatrical event. Thus the title of the workshop: "An Entire Universe made from Cardboard".
